I started my yoga journey in 2008. I am a person of size and was apprehensive to go into a "regular" class setting for fear of embarrassment and limited mobility. I finally went into that first class and was a little scared, but my teacher was reassuring so I felt ok. I wanted to be able to make others "of size" feel comfortable learning yoga too. I enrolled into the Yoga Teacher Training program and became a Certified Yoga Teacher. I have since registered through the Yoga Alliance and am now a RYT. I have learned to move in ways I didn't think was possible. I want to be able to assist others in their own journey, learning about what they can accomplish and feel good about it. I have struggled along my path with self-acceptance and limited mobility. I understand all the emotional issues this brings into the mind. Together, we can face challenges and discover more about our "real" and authentic being.
I also obtained my Certified Laughter Yoga Leader training and can do Laughter Yoga sessions as well. I love this yoga style! I really enjoy watching others revisit the "kid" inside through creative expression. It is so much fun to be able to let go and do whatever one chooses without judgment. When one participates in a LY session, you connect with others on a whole new level. I have a contagious laugh, which makes this the perfect profession for me!
I have been employed as an X-ray technician and certified Medical Assistant at an urgent care center for over 24 years. My experience in the medical field is a great asset to yoga.
My hobbies include getting together with family and friends to play various board games. I love to travel to new and exciting places. I have traveled around the past few years seeing various lighthouses and have seen several so far. I take Nia and really enjoy dancing in these classes. I thrive to learn more about metaphysical and mystical studies of our wonderful Universe!
My credentials include: LREO, CMA (AAMA), RYT, and CLYL.
Limited Radiography Equipment Operator, Certified Medical Assistant with American Association of Medical Assistants, Registered Yoga Teacher, Certified Laughter Yoga Leader
